Middle East Bitumen Supply · International RFQ Desk

International Bitumen Export Supplier for Road, Asphalt & Industrial Markets

Grade clarity, packing options, export documents and logistics direction — everything a serious buyer needs between product selection and a firm quotation.

Product range

Export-ready bitumen for road, asphalt and industrial markets

Every grade below has a full specification page covering how it is produced, the complete test table, handling temperatures and export packing.

Penetration grades

Classified by needle penetration at 25 °C. The most widely traded family in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Viscosity grades

Graded on absolute viscosity at 60 °C. The procurement language of the Indian market.

Performance grades

Superpave grading to AASHTO M320, tied to pavement climate rather than refinery output.

Oxidized grades

Air-blown industrial binder for roofing felt, pipe coating and sealing compounds.

Cutback grades

Medium curing cutbacks to ASTM D2027 for priming, patching and surface treatment.

Specialities

Modified and industrial binders for specific engineering requirements.

Rows of new steel drums filled with bitumen, shrink wrapped on wooden pallets in an export warehouse

110 drums per 20 ft container. 20.35 tonnes at 185 kg net.

Technical references

The answers buyers look for before they enquire

Three reference pages built for the questions that come up in every negotiation, written to be checked rather than trusted.

Grade equivalence

How penetration, viscosity, performance and Chinese road grades correlate — and why no exact conversion exists between them.

Reading a certificate of analysis

What every row measures, which method produces it, and the eight red flags worth querying before you accept a cargo.

Tonnage and container loadout

Drums per tonne, drums per container, tonnes to litres, and why net versus gross is the most common invoice dispute.

Penetration test on a bitumen sample, standard needle descending into the sample dish under a calibrated dial gauge
Penetration, ASTM D5. Reported in tenths of a millimetre.
Ring and ball softening point apparatus with two steel balls resting on bitumen discs in a heated glass beaker
Softening point, ASTM D36. Ring and ball method.
Bitumen ductility testing machine stretching a briquette into a thin thread inside a water bath
Ductility, ASTM D113. Drawn at 5 cm per minute.
Applications

Built around real buyer use cases, not only product names

Asphalt paver laying a fresh mat of hot mix on a highway at golden hour with a steel drum roller compacting behind it
Where the binder ends up. Mixing and compaction temperatures are set from the binder viscosity curve, not from the grade name alone.

Road construction

Wearing and binder courses for highway, municipal and rural programmes.

Asphalt plants

Continuous binder supply for hot mix production with consistent batch certification.

Waterproofing

Membrane, coating and damp-proofing applications in construction.

Roofing

Built-up roofing, felt saturation and shingle coating grades.

From grade selection to loaded container or discharged parcel.

Packing & logistics
Thousands of new steel bitumen drums standing in concentric arcs across an open filling yard, photographed from height
Filled drums staged in arcs around the filling point. A container load is drawn from one radius, so the rest of the yard is never re-handled to make up a shipment.

How the cargo actually moves

Forklift loading pallets of black bitumen drums into an open 20 foot shipping container at an export yard
Containerised shipment — the box is almost always weight limited before it is volume limited.
One tonne bitumen jumbo bags held in galvanised steel cage frames on timber pallets, stacked two high in a storage yard
Jumbo bags — each bag ships inside a steel cage frame on its own pallet, so it stays square and forkliftable. Lower packing cost per tonne, but the plant needs a melting facility.
Bitumen tanker vessel berthed at an industrial port terminal at dusk with loading arms connected to shore tanks
Bulk supply — contracted by weight, never by volume.
Hot liquid bitumen pouring in a thick black stream with visible steam and heat shimmer
Packing options — sustained heating above 180 °C accelerates oxidative hardening.

CFR, CIF and FOB to the ports our buyers actually use.
